Brown University Health in Fall River is seeking a skilled dosimetrist responsible for treatment planning in radiotherapy and enhancing patient care. You'll work alongside physicians to ensure the quality and accuracy of treatment plans using advanced dosimetric techniques.
The role requires a minimum of one year of clinical experience in radiation therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Certified Medical Dosimetrist certification. Offered pay ranges from $46.02 to $67.87 per hour.
Responsible for treatment planning tasks related to conventional radiotherapy, IMRT or brachytherapy, and for the accuracy and quality of patient’s treatment plans. Responsible for interacting with physicians to correctly carry out the written directives and providing accurate documentation. Participate in patient simulations and provide help to therapists as needed. Assist the physicist in chart checking, special dosimetry, brachytherapy and radiation safety work and may participate in quality assurance of medical linear accelerators. Contribute to quality and performance improvement initiatives.

A.S. degree in health/physical sciences or equivalent. BA degree in health/physical sciences or equivalent preferred.
One year practical experience in clinical radiation therapy as an RTT and four years experience in radiation dosimetry and treatment planning.
Knowledge of dosimetric and treatment planning concepts as applied to external beam and brachytherapy in a modern Radiation Oncology facility. Familiarity with equipment QA procedures.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) preferred. Eligibility for board certification is a requirement.
