Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. seeks a Residential Advisor (substitute) to help maintain safe, clean, and orderly dormitory living environments. You will supervise students, coordinate activities, and report to the Senior Residential Advisor within the Residential department.

The role requires at least one year working with youth, a high school diploma or equivalent (an Associate’s degree is preferred), and a valid driver’s license. This is a non-exempt, on-site position supporting a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential living and dormitory procedures and practices.
• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel.
• Minimum one year working with youth or related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orderly, clean-living conditions by scheduling and supervising clean up and submitting repair requests.
• Provide supervision for cafeteria, laundry, activities and other areas as scheduled or assigned.
• Identify and assist students in handling special problems and conduct dormitory meetings.
• Maintain communication with students’ counselors, instructors, and staff.
• Submit time sheets according to Residential Living Supervisor.
• Assist and train student leaders per center policy.
