Job summary

National Firestopping Solutions seeks a Door Repair Technician to perform repairs on fire rated doors and frames in accordance with NFPA 80 criteria. The role requires travel, hands-on work, and documentation in Procore.

The candidate will inspect, install, and document repairs, coordinate with the Door Division Manager, and manage inventory while interacting with clients in various facilities nationwide.

• Working with clients to access sensitive areas such as operating areas or any night work.
• Reporting to the job site during operating hours.

THE POSITION:

The Door Repair Technician (DRT) is responsible for the repairs of fire rated doors, frames based off inspection criteria from NFPA 80.

SKILLS:

• Practical knowledge of hand tools, job sites, and construction environment (buildings, construction, etc.)

SKILLS WE WILL TRAIN YOU:

The Door Repair Technician position will acquire knowledge in NFPA 80, metal door construction, wood door construction, frames, parts, and hand tools. The DRT is also responsible for the documentation of any repairs in Procore.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:

• Assist the Door Division Manager in the timely delivery of repairs and subsequent documentation to the client:

THE LOCATION:

Work in healthcare facilities and new construction throughout the country. This position travels at least 50% of the time.

Travel is required for this position.
