Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Production Operator to efficiently assemble, machine, and finish door components in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to operate various production equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting finished parts, and collaborating with team members to meet daily production goals while documenting production data for traceability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing/ woodworking/ construction experience preferred.
• Experience with doors, windows, or millwork is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Read and interpret blueprints/work orders; use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, power tools, and assembly equipment to manufacture doors according to production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper materials, measurements, and finishes.
• Inspect parts and finished products for quality and compliance with standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals and document data as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training.
