Job summary

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC is seeking a Door Production Manager in Wisconsin to lead production schedules, coordinate with project managers, and manage daily operations on the shop floor.

The role requires substantial experience in doors and leadership, with hands-on knowledge of panel saws, edgebanders, and CNC equipment. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency across the production team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of doors experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of panel saws, edgebanders and CNC equipment.
• Ability to use sound judgment and re-prioritize tasks according to deadlines.
• Acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet project deadlines.
• Confer with Project Managers to ensure schedules remain accurate and re-establish if needed.
• Review all work orders prior to releasing for production.
• Direct and coordinate activities of team members in production.
• Develop and track KPIs to monitor capacity throughput vs man hours.
• Ensure proper levels of materials and safety are maintained.
• Promote inter-departmental cohesion and resolve conflicts.
• Develop quality standards and monitor compliance.
• Coordinate hiring, training, motivation, and disciplinary actions per policy.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and evaluate repairs/replacements.
• Provide training on equipment use and workplace safety; maintain a safe environment.

Job description

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building Materials company, is seeking Door Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet project deadlines
• Confer with Project Managers and/or other team members to ensure established schedules maintain accuracy; Re-establish the schedule as necessary
• Review all work orders prior to releasing for production
• Direct and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in the production or processing of goods
• Develop and track daily/weekly/monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor capacity throughput vs man hours worked
• Monitor and ensure proper levels of materials and hardware are maintained and accounted for to support manufacturing functions
• Work with other managers and team members to promote intra- and inter-departmental cohesion and conflict resolution
• Develop quality standards and continually monitor to ensure said standards are being met
• Work in conjunction with Human Resources to hire, train, motivate, check work of, instruct and, when required, terminate subordinates according to Company policies, procedures and standards of performance
• Ensure preventative maintenance on machinery is being performed and offer recommendations for repair and/or replacement of machinery when needed
• Ensure team member training for proper equipment use and overall workplace safety; Ensure a clean and safe work environment is maintained
• Support and enforce all company policies and procedures
• Continually look for opportunities to maximize profits and improve processes and safety

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Minimum 5 years of doors experience
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
• Knowledge of relevant machinery including panel saws, edgebanders and CNC equipment
• Ability to use sound judgment and re-prioritize tasks according to shifting deadlines
• Display an acute attention to detail
