Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim Corp. in Richmond, VA is expanding its production team with a Door Parts Builder who fabricates and builds door jambs and related pre-hung installation components.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7am to 4pm and offers health benefits, PTO and a 401(k). Applicants must have experience with power tools and be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch; ability to lift up to 100 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with power tools and general construction tasks.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and convert fractions.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate door jambs and other pre-hung door installation parts.
• Operate power tools and equipment to cut and assemble parts.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with production duties as needed.

We are growing again! and are adding Door Parts Builders to our Production Team in Richmond, VA. Tucker Door & Trim is a premier wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry. The Door Parts Builder fabricates and builds door jambs and other pre-hung door installation parts.

• $20/hr
• Full Time
• Monday to Friday
• 7am to 4pm

Requirements

• Experience with Power Tools such as Table Saw, Miter Saw, Drills, Nail Guns
• Familiar with any of the following; construction, renovation, furniture assembly, cabinet installs, wood working, flooring installation, or deck and fence building
• Ability to read a t ape measure to 1/16th on an inch and reduce fractions of an inch to a common denominator (8/16\" = 1/2\")
• Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, adjust 100lbs throughout the shift

Skills

• The willingness to be trained and open to learning new concepts.
• The ability to read and follow written instruction in English.
• Reading a measuring device accurately to 1/16 of an inch is essential.
• The ability to add and subtract fractions.
• Rip boards, cut plywood on a Table Saw
• Familiar with various types of tools, such as power drills, nail guns, cut saws etc.
• The ability to perform required tasks with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
