Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim, a premier wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and millwork, is seeking a Door Parts Builder in Richmond, VA. This full-time role runs Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, offering benefits and opportunities to work with table saws, drills, and other power tools.

You will fabricate door jambs and installation parts, read measurements, and follow detailed instructions with careful accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience with power tools such as Table Saw, Miter Saw, Drills, Nail Guns.
• Familiar with construction-related tasks (e.g., renovation, cabinet installs, wood working).
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and convert fractions.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs repeatedly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate door jambs and pre-hung door parts.
• Operate power tools to cut and assemble components.
• Follow written instructions and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Job description

We are growing again! and are adding Door Parts Builders to our Production Team in Richmond, VA. Tucker Door & Trim is a premier wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry. The Door Parts Builder fabricates and builds door jambs and other pre-hung door installation parts.

• $20/hr
• Full Time
• Monday to Friday
• 7am to 4pm
• Health Benefits, PTO, 401k

Requirements

• Experience with Power Tools such as Table Saw, Miter Saw, Drills, Nail Guns
• Familiar with any of the following; construction, renovation, furniture assembly, cabinet installs, wood working, flooring installation, or deck and fence building
• Ability to read a t ape measure to 1/16th on an inch and reduce fractions of an inch to a common denominator (8/16\" = 1/2\")
• Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, adjust 100lbs throughout the shift

Skills

• The willingness to be trained and open to learning new concepts.
• The ability to read and follow written instruction in English.
• Reading a measuring device accurately to 1/16 of an inch is essential.
• The ability to add and subtract fractions.
• Rip boards, cut plywood on a Table Saw
• Familiar with various types of tools, such as power drills, nail guns, cut saws etc.
• The ability to perform required tasks with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
