Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim Corp. in Richmond, VA is growing and adding a Door Parts Builder to our Production Team. This role fabricates and builds door jambs and other pre-hung installation parts for our wholesale distribution and manufacturing operations.

You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, with competitive benefits including health, PTO and 401k. Applicants must be able to read a tape measure, operate power tools, and lift up to 100 lbs with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience with power tools such as Table Saw, Miter Saw, Drills, Nail Guns.
• Familiar with construction, renovation, furniture assembly, cabinet installs, wood working, flooring installation, or deck and fence building.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch and convert fractions to a common denominator (8/16" = 1/2").
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or maneuver up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and build door jambs and other pre-hung door installation parts.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision and follow written instructions.
• Assist in various duties as assigned.

We are growing again! and are adding Door Parts Builders to our Production Team in Richmond, VA. Tucker Door & Trim is a premier wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry. The Door Parts Builder fabricates and builds door jambs and other pre-hung door installation parts.

• $20/hr
• Full Time
• Monday to Friday
• 7am to 4pm

Requirements

• Experience with Power Tools such as Table Saw, Miter Saw, Drills, Nail Guns
• Familiar with any of the following; construction, renovation, furniture assembly, cabinet installs, wood working, flooring installation, or deck and fence building
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th on an inch and reduce fractions of an inch to a common denominator (8/16\" = 1/2\")
• Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, adjust 100lbs throughout the shift

Skills

• The willingness to be trained and open to learning new concepts.
• The ability to read and follow written instruction in English.
• Reading a measuring device accurately to 1/16 of an inch is essential.
• The ability to add and subtract fractions.
• Rip boards, cut plywood on a Table Saw
• Familiar with various types of tools, such as power drills, nail guns, cut saws etc.
• The ability to perform required tasks with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
