THE JOB

The Fillmore Detroit is currently looking for a Door Host to add to their team and help create an amazing experience for fans.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to work late hours
  2. Flexible schedule
  3. 3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  4. Read, write and speak English fluently
  5. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
  6. Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain the safety and security of all staff, artists, vendors, and guests
  2. Create and maintain a positive and uplifting experience for diverse groups of individuals
  3. Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  4. Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
  5. Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
  6. Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
  7. Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue
  8. Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
  9. Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
  10. Safeguard against theft and property damage
  11. Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights
  12. Remain in constant contact throughout the shift
  13. Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
  14. Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash, or other obstacles, before, during, and after the shift
  15. Attend pre-shift meeting conducted by Manager on Duty prior to start of each shift
