Madero Cantina in historic downtown Fullerton is seeking a confident Nightlife Door Host/Greeter to join a fast-paced venue. You will greet guests, verify IDs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming entrance for all patrons.

This role emphasizes guest focus, calm under pressure, and strong teamwork. You must be 21+, legally able to work in the U.S., and aspire to deliver memorable service while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work legally in the U.S. and 21+ years old.
• Ability to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
• Experience in nightlife, doorman or high-volume hospitality/security preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, guest-focused demeanor and professional presentation.
• Calm, assertive, and able to handle high-pressure situations confidently.
• Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and manage busy entrances safely.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at the door while ensuring safety and order.
• Verify IDs and enforce responsible alcohol service; refuse entry to underage or intoxicated guests.
• Monitor guest behavior and respond to conflicts professionally and discreetly.
• Manage crowd flow, line organization, and entry traffic during peak periods and events.
• Communicate safety concerns promptly to management.
• Assist team members with guest service and security as needed.
• Maintain situational awareness to prevent safety or security issues.
• Perform end-of-night duties to maintain readiness and ensure smooth operations for the next day.
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards per Health Department guidelines.

The Role

• Greet guests warmly while ensuring safety and order at the door

• Monitor guest behavior and respond to conflicts professionally and discreetly
• Manage crowd flow, line organization, and foot traffic during peak periods and events
• Communicate guest or safety concerns promptly to management
• Assist team members with guest service and security as needed
• Maintain situational awareness to prevent safety or security issues
• Perform end-of-night duties to maintain readiness and ensure smooth operations for the next day
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines

Requirements And Skills
