Job summary

Nucor is seeking a Mechanical Assembler I to complete final assemblies of doors and parts in line with the daily production schedule. You will read blueprints, follow work instructions, gather components, and stage, prep and assemble weldments with care.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical assembly background.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and reports.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently.
• Ability to read and use standard measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assemblies of door orders and manufactured parts per the daily production schedule.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and other instructions to build and assemble parts accurately.
• Pull stock components (small parts, hardware, and weldments).
• Attach motor, chain, straps or other components per the bill of materials.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of the manufactured parts.
