Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America's largest supplier of building materials and related services, is seeking an Assembler in Kentucky. This entry-level role performs repetitive assembly to mass-produce windows, doors, trusses, panels, and stairs on the production line.

You will work at multiple stations, follow safety procedures, and learn to operate and tend machines while contributing to a busy manufacturing environment at BFS.

Qualifications

• There are no requirements in terms of education or experience.
• Prior carpentry experience helpful.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Verbal expression ability to effectively present information.
• Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure.
• Overtime work could be involved.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
