Job summary

Brand Vaughan, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a Door Assembler I to join our Georgia locations. You will work on a pre-hung door assembly line, stock components, and assist in setting up the assembly process. We value high school education and carpentry aptitude; reading a tape measure and using a hammer are essential.

Overtime may be required, and safety rules must be followed. The role supports professional builders across Atlanta and surrounding areas including Buford,

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior carpentry experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
  • Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a pre-hung door assembly line.
  • Stock doors, frames, plates and stock components.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
  • Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
  • Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and procedures; maintain a safe environment.
  • Comply with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular attendance.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacles and keeping bays clean.
  • Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory as required by location management.
  • Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
  • Participate in and complete assigned trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Adheres to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.

Job description

Founded in 1946 by R.L. Brand and Cy Vaughan, Brand Vaughan serves professional builders and contractors in the Atlanta, Buford, Columbus, Madison, Athens and Lake Oconee areas of Georgia from eight locations in the state.

The Door Assembler I is responsible for assembling pre-hung door components. This person will stock lumber, plates and other work-related materials and supplies, and will also band/stack finished products. What you will do

  • Work on a pre-hung door assembly line.
  • Stock doors, frames, plates and stock components for door assembly.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
  • Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
