Key Responsibilities:

  • Mount and align door hardware such as locks, hinges, panic bars, closers, handles, kick plates, thresholds, and weather stripping.
  • Measure and cut openings or materials to fit door frames as per specifications or blueprints.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Inspect and diagnose door and hardware issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Work with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to coordinate installation.
  • Follow safety guidelines and ensure that all installations meet applicable building codes and ADA compliance where required.
  • Maintain a clean work area and keep tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Document work performed and materials used for job tracking and invoicing.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience indoor and hardware installation or related carpentry work.
  • Some knowledge of various door and hardware systems, including commercial‑grade components.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if travel to job sites is required).
  • Be coachable.
