Job summary

Mackenthun's Fine Foods - Lonsdale is seeking a Donut Fryer to quickly and efficiently prepare deep-fried bakery products to Mackenthun's quality standards. The role focuses on fresh donuts, donuts holes, and other pastries in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You will work early morning shifts, handle inventory, assist with ingredient ordering, and maintain clean, safe work areas while delivering friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be skilled in basic math.
• Donut frying experience is desired, but not needed.
• Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English language and communicate respectfully with managers, co-workers and customers.

Deep-fry and finish (ie. coat or frost) cake donuts and donut holes, old-fashioned, and yeast-raised sweet rolls.

Monitor inventory and assist in ordering ingredients.

Fill customer orders and keep Bakery shelves and the donut case clean and fully stocked.

Clean work areas, maintain proper sanitation/safety, practice proper safe-handling of food products.

Other Duties

Help with selling events.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older.

Perform duties in a manner that safeguards company equipment, resources and image.

Availability

Candidate needs to be able to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4:45am-8:45am (4 hour shifts)

Must be able to work occasional holidays.

Physical Demands

Constant standing/walking/talking/hearing/seeing/ready to respond to department needs at any time during work shift.

Frequent repetitive motions, bending at the waist, reaching arm's length/above shoulders/below waist, crouching stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs and lifting 60 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 1500 lbs. with use of pallet jack.

Position requires close/distance/peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision.

Work Environment

Indoor, multi-faceted and fast-paced environment. Frequently work in warm/hot temperature in a small area while frying. Occasional work in a cooler or freezer.
