Job Title: Donut Finisher

Department: Bakery

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Responsible for finishing donuts, bagels, and danishes to be sold to customers. Provides courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to enhance the company's positive image.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home, Bakery Department Manager, Baker, Apprentice Baker

Positions reporting to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Greet customers with a smile; learn and use their names when possible.
• Answer phones promptly and assist callers courteously.
• Work with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare work area and equipment for donut finishing.
• Handle donuts and rolls from freezer, prepare for finishing, and perform baking and glazing tasks.
• Review and prepare special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to company policies and dress code.
• Report to work on time as scheduled.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter as needed.
• Support other store areas as required.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills for measuring and recording.
• Ability to understand and follow demonstrated instructions and request supplies orally or in writing.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; six months or less of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
• Visual acuity for close and distance vision, including color vision.
• Physical activities include stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards daily; chemicals/solvents weekly.
