Be a part of the Temp-Stop Family

Temp-Stop, established in 1998, has grown to 10 Convenience Store locations and 2 Liquor Stores. WE NEED YOU TO JOIN OUR FAMILY!

We are developing a new Coffee/Donut concept named Baxters, located in Lee's Summit. We will serve lattes and other coffee specialties, manufacture donuts for retail, and deliver them daily to our Temp-Stop locations. We are seeking individuals who enjoy working overnight baking and icing donuts.

Primary Responsibilities

We’re looking for passionate individuals interested in making this a career, especially those who enjoy creating baked goods. We prioritize safety and follow CDC guidelines to ensure a safe workspace.

The role involves pastry preparation, dough making, garnishing, shaping, frying, icing, and decorating donuts. Additionally, you will assist the general manager with staff management, production when the manager is off, scheduling, and ordering.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the station
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed during shifts
  • Adhere to sanitation and food production codes

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is bi-weekly, starting at $16.00/hour, depending on experience. Advanced management experience may lead to higher starting pay. Additional pay of $.50/hour applies for midnight to 6 a.m. shifts (see company policy). Employees are eligible for a performance review after 90 days, with annual reviews thereafter. Health insurance is available within 90 days. Benefits include vacation pay, overtime pay for hours over 40, an annual bonus based on store profits, and overtime pay for holiday shifts.

Manager Responsibilities

  • Maintain high customer service standards and store appearance
  • Perform cleaning tasks (windows, floors, bathrooms, trash)
  • Stock shelves and coolers
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Check in deliveries from vendors
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers
  • Work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Attend mandatory meetings (e.g., T.A.M., harassment training)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting 1-15 lbs
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist
  • Ability to access all store areas and move quickly around the store
