Job summary

MIT Office of Resource Development seeks a Stewardship Writer for Communications, Events, Donor Relations and Stewardship. You will draft and edit acknowledgements for presidential and vice presidential gifts, manage DES team projects, and craft communications that showcase philanthropy impact at MIT.

The role is full-time for six months, hybrid on-campus/remote, with evenings/weekends as required. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience in a complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience in a high-volume, complex org.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, writing, editorial, content development, and research skills.
• Knowledge of stewardship programs in higher education; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong initiative and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and advance presidential and vice-presidential acknowledgements.
• Manage key projects and processes on the Donor Engagement and Stewardship (DES) team.
• Communicate the impact of philanthropy at MIT to donors and stakeholders.
• Support hybrid on-campus and remote work; occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
