Job summary

The Boston Foundation seeks a Donor Services Assistant to provide organizational and logistical support to the Donor Services team within the Development & Donor Services department.Responsibilities include managing donor records in Salesforce, coordinating gift acknowledgement letters, and assisting with events and communications.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of office experience, with strong data management, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent; 3+ years of office administrative experience.
  • Solid organization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work under deadlines.
  • Team player with proactive work style and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate gift acknowledgement letter process across staff.
  • Maintain donor, prospect, and fund records in Salesforce; ensure timely entry.
  • Ensure data integrity for reporting and department activities.
  • Assist with occasional events before/after hours.
  • Coordinate mailings and distribution of invitations and newsletters.
  • Respond to donor inquiries by phone, mail, and email.
  • Prepare reports and materials for presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support to DDS staff.
