Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. seeks a Medical Screener to join our plasma collection team in Texas. You will greet donors, guide health screenings, and help with vital signs and sample collection, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the donation process.

You will maintain accurate donor records, operate screening systems, and support center audits while communicating clearly with donors and staff. This role requires flexibility and a customer-focused, healthcare-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or plasma/blood collection.
• Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required in Louisiana.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors with accurate data entry.
• Screen health forms and determine if further medical review is needed.
• Perform vital signs and fingerstick sampling to measure hematocrit and total protein.
• Prepare and calibrate screening equipment per SOPs; troubleshoot as needed.
• Monitor donor safety and report adverse reactions to medical staff.
• Explain donation process and donor safety guidelines clearly and professionally.
• Maintain donor records and ensure documentation meets cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Operate systems like NDDR and CDCS per guidelines.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and update supply lot numbers as needed.
• Support plasmapheresis by preparing collection machines and assisting with disconnections.
