Job summary

The Boston Foundation seeks a Philanthropy Associate to build constituency within the innovation economy and related sectors, supporting Pledge 1% Boston and the Equality Fund, while coordinating prospect and donor research for the Senior Director. Responsibilities include maintaining records in Salesforce, running reports, coordinating events, and providing administrative support across the department.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent; at least 2 years of work experience, preferably in development or communications.
• Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service orientation.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products - especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point; database experience (Salesforce) strongly preferred; familiarity and comfort with social media outlets.
• Excellent data management and reporting skills; ability to interact with a diverse range of people and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prospect research, data management, prospect tracking, event planning, and communications for Pledge 1% Boston including: monitor engagement, develop tools, track funding and milestones, liaison with Pledge 1% Global, update collateral.
• Support Equality Fund activities; oversee scope, timeline and implementation of grantmaking initiatives; prepare committee materials; coordinate grant review processes.
