Job summary

The Center for Biological Diversity is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to lead a small team within the Development program in Tucson, AZ. This role drives donor communications, campaigns, and stewardship for Leadership Circle donors who contribute $1,000+ annually.

You will manage campaigns, events, and portfolios, collaborating with senior program staff to grow philanthropic revenue and strengthen donor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of fundraising experience with donors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with donor databases or CRMs.
• Supervisory experience managing 2–3 staff.
• Analytical with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee and support fundraising campaigns and reports to increase Leadership Circle support.
• Provide year‑round stewardship of Leadership Circle and retention plans.
• Manage donor relations staff to ensure timely communications and activities.
• Ensure inbound communications are addressed promptly with care.
• Cultivate a portfolio of Leadership Circle donors and mentor associates.
• Review data with attention to pre‑set strategies and donor preferences.
• Plan donor events and webinars and follow up after events.
• Respond rapidly to breaking news with communications.
• Stay informed on environmental trends and donor stewardship best practices.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
