Job summary

PBS Foundation in the United States seeks a Development Associate to support fundraising, prospect management, and administrative tasks. This role works closely with the VP, Advancement and a collaborative team to advance PBS Foundation's mission.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 2–5 years nonprofit development experience, and strong written and verbal communication, with discretion and attention to detail. Flexible hours and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or the equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 2–5 years of nonprofit development experience.
  • Experience using a fundraising donor management software system.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, judgment, tact, and poise.
  • Attention to detail, proactive, organized, and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supports PBS mission and public media.
  • May require flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support, Planning and Logistics.
  • Coordinate with Research Team for lists for communications.
  • Support onboarding of new team members.
  • Manage schedules in Outlook, arrange meetings, travel, and expense reports.
  • Build relationships with donor and family office teams.
  • Create and maintain constituent records in CRM and track actions.
  • Assist in planning and executing cultivation activities and events.
  • Prepare materials for prospective donors.
