Job summary

The American Lung Association seeks a Manager, Donor Relations to lead a portfolio of mid-level donors and drive growth in nationwide revenue for our mission. You will identify and cultivate donors, solicit gifts, and steward relationships to meet fundraising targets.

With a focus on 400 mid-level donors, you will collaborate with the Development team to record donor actions, draft materials, and report progress to leadership, all while representing the Lung Association’s mission with passion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Five or more years fundraising experience.
• Proven track record of soliciting mid-level gifts from individuals.
• Proven track record of developing relationships with individual donors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of approximately 400 mid-level donors.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit new prospects for the mid-level program.
• Identify major gift and planned giving prospects from personal portfolio.
• Achieve personal and overall mid-level giving revenue goals in collaboration with Senior Development Manager.
• Record all donor actions in the donor database in a timely manner.
• Create quarterly reports for the Chief Development Officer on progress toward portfolio goals.
