Job summary

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is seeking a Development Officer II to manage a caseload of about 120 donors, build lasting relationships, and secure mid-level and major gifts that advance the organization's mission.

You will learn each donor’s interests, create thoughtful outreach plans, coordinate tours and fundraising events, and maintain accurate records to guide timely follow-up, with success measured by stronger donor relationships and increased gifts.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least three years of experience cultivating and managing donor relationships or performing comparable fundraising work.
• Experience communicating with donors or prospective donors through meetings, presentations, tours and written correspondence.
• Experience asking for and securing charitable gifts or comparable financial commitments.
• Skill in maintaining accurate donor records, documenting interactions and using information to plan timely follow-up.
• Ability to manage multiple donor relationships, priorities and deadlines with consistent follow-through.
• Proficiency in common office applications, including email, word processing and spreadsheets, and job-specific CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with prospective and existing donors to build lasting partnerships.
• Manage a caseload of about 120 donors, prioritizing outreach and follow-up to sustain relationships.
• Solicit and secure mid-level and major gifts to fund organizational work.
• Assist with planning and developing major-gift fundraising events to attract new donors and expand reach.
• Conduct tours and follow up with participants to build connections and involvement.
• Document new donor information for database entry and maintain accurate records.
• Record donor interests and capacity information to tailor fundraising strategies.
