Job summary

The Boston Foundation is seeking a donor relations professional to cultivate relationships with donors, manage donor-advised funds, and support legacy and planned giving initiatives. You will develop donor education programs, coordinate events, and collaborate with programs to identify funding opportunities for co-investments.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in fundraising, strong communication and analytical skills, and comfort with financial content.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related fundraising experience.
• High level of customer service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, plus collaboration and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial content.
• Ability to understand and communicate finance, accounting, and investment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors for repeat gifts and deeper engagement.
• Manage relationships with 100–125 Donor Advised Fund holders.
• Develop and manage donor education and engagement activities and events.
• Coordinate with grantmaking strategies to identify funding needs for co-investment opportunities.
• Oversee donor-initiated projects and fund management activities.
