Job summary

St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix is seeking a Mid-Level Gift Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of mid-level donors in support of strategic fundraising goals.

Under the Senior Manager of Charitable Support, you will plan and execute donor events, maintain accurate records in Raiser's Edge, and collaborate with leadership to advance the organization’s mission. Travel and occasional evening events required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent in nonprofit, sales, marketing, or related fields.
• Proven experience in maintaining donor relationships and developing effective gift solicitation strategies.
• Strong stewardship and relationship management skills with follow-through and presentation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate the mission and goals.
• Ability to independently initiate contact with donors and prospects.
• Experience in project management and coordinating events.
• Creative thinker with ability to develop innovative events and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized communications and events.
• Schedule and conduct donor meetings to discuss interests and capacity for major or annual gifts.
• Identify and research donors aligned with the organization’s mission and giving history.
• Maintain donor records and implement engagement and moves management strategies.
• Develop reporting and metrics to monitor fundraising impact.
• Support leadership in cultivation and solicitation efforts as needed.
• Develop educational events for donor engagement and education.
• Develop and share innovative giving strategies across the team.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
