Job summary

The Cleveland Animal Protective League is seeking a Development Associate to enter gifts into Raiser's Edge, generate acknowledgment letters, and assist the development team in supporting fundraising activities. This is a full-time, onsite role reporting to the Annual Fund & Database Manager.

You will work with donors, volunteers, and board members to maintain data integrity, prepare deposits, and support donor communications while contributing to the organization’s mission of animal welfare.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Windows Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform accurate data-entry and written work.
• Excellent verbal and customer service skills in donor communications.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Compassion for animals and people; Fear Free certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Enter monetary and in-kind gifts into RE and maintain donor records.
• Prepare and review acknowledgment letters for donations.
• Produce donor and department reports for monthly reconciliation.
• Process daily gifts, deposits, and Matching Gift forms; train volunteers.
