St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to develop relationships with potential donors and support Holy Family Catholic School and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School.

The role includes planning and evaluating fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and collaboration with school leaders and development staff. The position emphasizes adherence to Catholic education values, ethical ministry standards, and compliance with Diocesan policies.

Qualifications

• Fundraising experience preferred.
• Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) application within the first week of employment.
• EIM Basic abuse prevention training within 30 days of employment.
• Meet staff development guidelines as set by the Diocese and school administration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the President to cultivate and solicit donors according to school needs and budget objectives.
• Serve as primary research officer for advancement, identifying prospective donors and their interests.
• Help draft or review solicitation materials, including newsletters and annual reports.
• Monitor fundraising progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Support donor acknowledgement events and updating donor recognition plaques as needed.
• Manage advancement website pages to identify fundraising goals, events, sponsorships, and highlights.
• Ensure accuracy in database entries and facilitate the corporate matching gift program.
• Create processes for grant applications by identifying opportunities and submitting applications.
• Demonstrate gains in advancement goals in line with the schools’ strategic plan and budget.
• Coordinate with the Events Coordinator on auction planning and donor involvement.
• Collaborate with principals, school personnel, parent associations, and volunteers.
