LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Gainesville, FL seeks a Donor Recruitment Representative to engage communities, schedule blood drives, and grow donor bases. You will build partnerships with businesses, schools, and organizations to maintain a steady blood supply for local hospitals and patients.

You’ll recruit donors through conversations, events, and presentations, coordinating drives and projections to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual collection goals.

Description

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Donor Recruitment Representative in Gainesville, FL.

What You'll Be Responsible For

This position combines community outreach, account management, and blood drive coordination to help maintain a reliable blood supply for local hospitals and patients. You will build relationships with businesses, schools, and community organizations while encouraging individuals to become regular blood donors.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with blood drive chairperson, local businesses, schools, organizations, and blood drive coordinators to schedule and rebook successful blood drives
• Manage assigned blood drive accounts, follow up on leads, and develop new community partnerships to support collection goals
• Recruit donors through one-on-one conversations, community outreach, events, and presentations that explain the importance of blood donation
• Plan and coordinate blood drives, establish accurate collection projections, and work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual collection goals
• Coordinate promotional materials and donor recognition items with Marketing and recruitment staff, ensuring accurate blood drive details and timely distribution
• Address blood drive concerns, communicate with community partners, and adjust recruitment efforts to support daily collection needs

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
• Consistent, reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Availability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• An outgoing, positive attitude with strong customer service, relationship-building, and verbal and written communication skills, including confidence speaking by phone and presenting to groups
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage multiple accounts, and follow through on commitments
• A goal-driven approach and the ability to adapt recruitment efforts to meet collection needs
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn LifeSouth’s donor management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
• Two years of sales or marketing experience
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); additional compensation available

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 50 blood donation centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month across our multi-state footprint, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
