The Donor Programs Specialist position contributes to the calling of Medical Teams International by supporting the organization’s strategic growth areas and revenue objectives through creating, planning, organizing, managing and facilitating the execution of the monthly donor, planned giving, and mid-level giving programs. This role applies technical fundraising and marketing skills for both direct mail and digital platforms,with a longer-term focus on the monthly donor program and building a diverse donor portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the development and ongoing program execution of the monthly donor, planned giving, and mid-level giving programs, including all major communications across multiple platforms: direct mail, email, website, social media, and paid advertising.
- Partner with strategic Marketing and Development (MaD) stakeholders, such as the Advancement team, Copywriter, Brand Manager and Director of Marketing and Communications, and cross functional groups to ensure delivery of key messaging.
- Advise on the development of the donor journey, including strategic touchpoints covering a variety of platforms and donor personas.
- Manage external agency partners and vendors; develop content, manage the content approval process, monitor execution, analyze results, and make adjustments for future campaigns to ensure continuous improvement.
- Design and implement donor journey plans to support donor retention, revenue growth, and increased lifetime value of existing donors via the monthly donor, planned giving, and mid-level giving programs.
- Manage the development of all campaign collateral, including identifying high-quality imagery and messaging, related to and supporting the monthly donor, planned giving, and mid-level giving programs.
- Provide regular updates about campaign results and effectiveness and share with MaD teammates as needed.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, writers, designers, web specialists, and others involved in producing communications deliverables. Ensure all deliverables meet agreed upon timelines.
- Coordinate, plan and execute integrated campaigns with other MaD teams.
- Manage and align timelines and deliverables with MaD’s master editorial calendar. Ensure all communications align with the strategic focus and do not conflict with other donor communications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate data and records to evaluate the overall success of the program,cost-effectiveness, profitability, lifetime value, and overall impact of fundraising programs. Including preparing income/expense budgets and compiling and analyzing performance data.
- Analyze Medical Teams’ donor programs and peer organizations to evaluate and implement strategic competitive opportunities for areas of growth.
- Build and maintain a competitive program expanding the brand tone, voice, and reach to build a diverse and inclusive monthly, mid-level and planned giving donor portfolio.
- Support Medical Teams’ branding needs as assigned.
- Support safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies. Incumbents will remain alert and responsive to any child and adult safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child and adult safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding code of conduct and behavior expectations.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, fundraising/development, business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting on a year-for-year basis
EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Minimum 4 years’ previous direct response, marketing and/or fundraising experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience producing multi-channel communications including print, digital, and creative collateral and/or appeals
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital paid marketing
Preferred:
- Experience executing direct emergency response campaigns across multiple platforms
- Experience working with writers, designers, print vendors, marketing agencies, and other communications professionals
- Experience working in a non-profit organization
- Experience working with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, and CRM
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge:
- Understanding of marketing performance indicators
- Knowledge of procedures, workflows and capabilities of software packages for graphic design, writing, editing, proofing, and print production
- Good understanding of Google Analytics and paid advertising across various platforms
- Strong understanding of different audiences and how to communicate to them effectively
