Job summary

The Blood Connection is seeking a Phlebotomist to screen and collect whole blood from donors, including autologous and directed collections as needed. You will observe donors for adverse reactions, provide post-phlebotomy care, and ensure accurate documentation in a FDA-regulated environment.

Responsibilities include donor eligibility assessment, selecting collection materials, performing venipuncture, preparing units for transport, and maintaining a welcoming, professional donor experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; on-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

• Screen donors via medical history and mini physical.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood.
• Prepare and package units for transport/storage.
• Maintain SOP compliance and perform quality control for equipment.
• Greet donors and provide post-donation care and support.
• Participate in blood drives and other events.
