Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Development Director to secure and grow annual fund contributions and mid-level gifts, while stewarding donor relationships and expanding philanthropic support. You will collaborate with the Vice President of Philanthropy to implement strategies that boost retention, acquisition, and engagement.

You will manage donor portfolios, plan campaigns and events, and ensure data integrity in Raiser's Edge, reporting on performance and advancing revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years in fundraising, donor engagement, or nonprofit development.
• Experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors for annual fund and mid-level gifts.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or similar donor CRM systems.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools for donor communications.
• Proficient with MS Office; ability to manage projects and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to increase donor retention and revenue.
• Manage a portfolio of annual fund and mid-level donors and prospects.
• Identify and pursue new donor partnerships and corporate/community opportunities.
• Lead annual fund donor communications, campaigns, and stewardship initiatives.
• Plan and execute donor events and cultivation activities.
• Prepare grant proposals, sponsorship requests, and donor communications.
• Maintain Raiser's Edge records and support data integrity and reporting.
• Collaborate with the VP of Philanthropy and Leadership Team on plans and metrics.
