Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project is seeking a Donor Experience Coordinator to act as a front-line liaison, improving donor interactions and donor database processes. The role supports the Warrior Support team and drives donor loyalty through enhanced experiences.

The position requires strong customer service, data entry, and communication skills, with a mission-driven culture and hybrid work options. Travel is up to 10% and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of experience using donor or customer database software.
• 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Preference: 1 year of experience in a nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond promptly to donor requests via phone, email, and mail.
• Import data accurately into the donor database.
• Assist Warrior Support team in identifying and improving donor processes.
• Respond to fundraising inquiries and perform follow-up steps.
• Motivate donors to maximize fundraising.
• Maintain understanding of WWP’s mission and Warrior Support team responsibilities.
• Complete special projects such as reporting, donor giveaways, and database cleanups.
• Attend required training and meetings.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Donor Experience Coordinator contributes to the overall success of WWP and the Warrior Support team by serving as a front-line liaison and identifying opportunities for donor customer experience improvements, process improvements, and database enhancements for effective fundraising and an enhanced donor experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and respond in a timely manner to all donor requests via phone, email, and mail.
• Import data accurately into the donor database.
• Assist Warrior Support team in identifying, developing, and improving processes that enhance the donor experience and lead to donor loyalty and support.
• Respond to and diagnose improvements through discussions with the fundraising team including recognition, research, resolution, and follow-up steps.
• Motivate donors to maximize fundraising.
• Develop and maintain a working understanding of the Warrior Support team’s responsibilities and Wounded Warrior Project’s mission and purpose.
• Complete special projects as assigned, e.g., reporting, donor giveaways, database cleanups.
• Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.
• Other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

• Requirements One year of customer service experience.
