Job summary

University of California, Berkeley seeks a Donor Engagement and Stewardship Writer to develop and publish donor communications and stewardship materials across five divisions. You will research, write, edit, and brand narratives, proposals, and reports with guidance from leadership and the Associate Director for Stewardship & Strategy.

In this exempt, full-time role, you will drive strategic communications for major donors, collaborate with UDAR teams, and support digital fundraising efforts

Qualifications

• 4+ years writing, editing, and producing donor communications across multiple formats.
• Experience with content development, research, and fact verification.
• Ability to maintain relationships with internal and external partners and collaborate across teams.
• Strong writing, grammar, syntax, and editorial style.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit high-level donor engagement materials for five divisions.
• Produce stewardship reports and collateral for major donors and philanthropic partners.
• Collaborate with divisional fundraising teams to align messaging with priorities.
• Support digital fundraising campaigns with donor engagement content.
• Provide editing and proofreading support for advancement communications.
