Job summary

Ocean State Media is a Rhode Island public media organization serving Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. The Donor Engagement Manager will bridge development, audience engagement, and leadership to deliver a compelling donor journey.

The role focuses on stewardship, impact storytelling, special events, and donor communications to increase satisfaction, retention, and lifetime giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in development, fundraising, or donor relations.
• Strong knowledge of donor lifecycle and cultivation.
• Ability to build relationships with donors and colleagues across an organization.
• Experience using CRM systems with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Donor stewardship: create and execute outreach plans to thank and update donors.
• Event planning: organize donor appreciation events, major donor events, and briefings.
• Impact storytelling and reporting: write letters, newsletters, and reports showing philanthropic impact.
• Collaboration: work with program staff to gather stories and data for donor communications.
• Donor journey management: map and optimize the donor lifecycle from acquisition through renewal and upgrade.
