Bowie State University invites applications for the role of Donor Engagement and Stewardship Manager. This position focuses on implementing a comprehensive donor relations program, stewardship activities, and donor recognition across campaigns and events.

The role collaborates with fundraisers, faculty, and campus leadership to support fundraising objectives and manage donor communications, records, and recognition across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Experience engaging with internal and external customers is required.
• Experience in donor or alumni relations, fundraising, event planning, or comparable customer-service experience.
• Ability to represent the University and engage external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to write and speak persuasively with professional acumen.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a primary coordinator of University cultivating and stewarding efforts.
• Ensures consistent and accurate communication with donors, prospective donors, and alumni, with timely follow up.
• Contributes to planning and organization of events to maximize philanthropic outcomes.
• Collaborates with leadership to organize activities involving high-level donors and alumni.
• Liaises with the Bowie State University Foundation and other offices to ensure reporting and recognition.
