Job description

Nevus Outreach is seeking a dedicated and relationship-focused Donor Engagement Coordinator to help sustain and grow support from community-level donors. This role is central to ensuring donors feel valued, connected, and inspired to continue their support of our mission: driving awareness, fostering a supportive community, and advancing research for people affected by congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN) and related conditions.

Your work will directly shape the donor experience—building loyalty, increasing retention, and strengthening the foundation for long-term impact.

What You’ll Gain:
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact by growing a mission-focused nonprofit
  • Hands-on experience in donor relations, stewardship, and fundraising strategy
  • Recognition in organizational reports and communications
  • The chance to help shape a donor experience that is personal, thoughtful, and impactful
Responsibilities:

Partner with the Fundraising Committee and Executive Director to implement a donor stewardship strategy (thank-you calls, emails, postcards, and engagement touchpoints)

Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) team on annual giving activities, including direct mail, digital fundraising, newsletters, and donor acquisition campaigns

Grow Outreach Angels, our monthly giving program, by designing donor journeys that inspire long-term commitments

Conduct donor research and surveys to identify opportunities for deeper engagement and partnerships

Craft personalized donor communications to highlight impact and strengthen connections

Use our CRM (Bloomerang) to manage donor data, track interactions, and monitor results

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for building relationships

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Attention to detail and a donor-first mindset

Comfortable making phone calls, sending emails, and using mail-based stewardship to connect directly with donors

Prior fundraising, stewardship, or CRM experience (preferred but not required)

Alignment with Nevus Outreach’s mission

Time Commitment & Compensation:

Part-time, 15–20 hours per week

Remote-first position; availability required during Eastern/Central Standard Time working hours

This is an entry-level role and will be paid as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

The position starts October 1, 2025, with an initial evaluation period through December 31, 2025, and the opportunity to continue into 2026 as the organization grows.
