Job summary

United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties seeks a seasoned Resource Development Director to lead and strengthen our fundraising programs. Working closely with the President & CEO and Leadership Team, the ideal candidate is creative, driven, and committed to community impact across Lake and Sumter Counties.

The role focuses on developing diverse fundraising strategies, donor stewardship, and expanding revenue through individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and grants, with a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five+ years of fundraising and fundraising management experience.
• Experience securing corporate and foundation gifts and major gifts from individuals in a nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement diverse fundraising strategies focused on donor development and retention.
• Increase individual giving through annual campaigns, major gifts and planned giving.
• Enhance donor stewardship and develop strong donor prospects.
• Support corporate partnerships to explore mission-centric and program-driven fundraising opportunities.
• Maintain a top-tier portfolio to increase revenue from organizations and individuals.
