About the Role

As the Donor Development & Fundraising Specialist, you will help bring the Quincy Medical Group Foundation's mission to life through fundraising, events, and community engagement. You will coordinate Foundation events and campaigns, build relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, and help tell the story of the impact philanthropy makes throughout the communities we serve. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action. From coordinating event details and developing promotional content to engaging volunteers and supporting fundraising campaigns, you will help create meaningful experiences that strengthen community relationships and advance the Foundation's mission.

Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time position, Monday-Friday, primarily daytime hours, with flexibility based on Foundation activities. Evening and weekend availability is required for scheduled fundraising events, community activities, and special initiatives. Local travel may be required to support Foundation and community events.

  • Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, vendors, sponsorship fulfillment, registration, volunteers, setup, teardown, and day-of-event activities.
  • Develop event communications, social media content, donor stories, promotional materials, and graphics across multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate annual fundraising campaigns, including Giving Tuesday, year-end giving, and other Foundation initiatives.
  • Support sponsorship development by identifying opportunities, preparing materials, and coordinating sponsor relationships and fulfillment.
  • Recruit, schedule, communicate with, and recognize volunteers supporting Foundation programs and events.
  • Build relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses, volunteers, community organizations, and other partners to strengthen Foundation engagement.
  • Represent the Foundation at community outreach events and support rural and community engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain event plans, timelines, records, and post-event reporting to support organized and successful initiatives.
  • Fulfill Foundation Shop merchandise orders and assist with inventory management.
  • Provide administrative and project support for Foundation operations, fundraising activities, events, and special initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Foundation and its mission.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, nonprofit organizations, community engagement, marketing, or a related area preferred.
  • Strong event planning, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to develop engaging content and tell meaningful stories.
  • Experience with social media, Canva or similar design tools, and digital communications preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills with confidence interacting with donors, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from planning through execution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also managing responsibilities independently.
  • Flexibility to attend scheduled evening and weekend events as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for local travel.
Benefits
