Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional writing experience across print, digital, and email.
• Experience in a service-oriented role with internal and external constituents.
• Ability to write in journalistic, persuasive, and marketing styles; segment messaging for audiences.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary writer and editor for Advancement communications (fundraising appeals, reports, alumni content).
• Develop donor-focused messaging to support philanthropy and engagement goals.
• Research and interview faculty, students, alumni, and donors for feature stories.
• Ensure consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all channels.
• Edit and proof content to maintain high quality and accuracy.
