Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Donor & Client Support Coordinator II for our Charlotte, NC office. The role involves coordinating daily donor-related operations, supporting product investigations, and ensuring timely, accurate handling of donor records in a hybrid environment after in-person training.

Strong teamwork, high school education (or higher), and 3+ years in blood banking or related fields are preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support product level investigations and donor/card record accuracy.
  • Identify suspect products by reviewing donor deferral records and related data.
  • Assist with retrieval activities related to product complaints, including bacterial detection cases.
  • Help with donor reentry and reinstatement processes as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of donor information.

We are seeking a Donor & Client Support Coordinator II. for our Charlotte, NC Office located at: 13500 South Point Blvd, Ste L., Charlotte, NC 28273

Shift Information

1st Shift, Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

After the required in person training, this position will be Hybrid with the requirement to report in the office 2-3 days a month

Pay Information

The salary for this position is $20.24/ hr. + Shift Differential (+$1.75 after 3pm, + $1.25 on weekends)

Responsibilities
  • Assist coordinating the daily operations, including biologic product deviation notifications and addressing concerns, to ensure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Supports the timely management of product level investigation under ARC inventory.
  • Coordinate the identification, control, notification and retrieval of suspect products.
  • Identify suspect products by reviewing donor deferral records
  • Perform retrieval activities related to product complaints including bacterial detection cases.
  • May correct, update and verify changes in donor records to ensure appropriate entry and confidential handling of data.
  • May assist with donor reentry and reinstatement.
Scope

Full knowledge of job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job. Contact within department and occasionally outside of organization.

Qualifications

Education: High School or equivalent required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a science or health care field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in blood banking/ collections, laboratory testing, medical records, auditing, quality review or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: N/A

Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required.

  • Bilingual is helpful*.
  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time.
