Donor Center Phlebotomist - Crystal Lake (Full Time)

Versiti is dedicated to saving lives through blood donation, scientific research, and advanced medical therapies. We are seeking a Donor Center Phlebotomist to join our team in Crystal Lake.

Position Overview: Under supervision, performs blood and apheresis product collections, ensuring excellent donor experience and adherence to quality standards. May also support Spanish-speaking donors and drive between centers as needed.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday: 11:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • Support for other area centers as required.

Compensation & Benefits: Starting at $17/hr, with shift differentials, skill-based increases, and bilingual premium. Full-time benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and more.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare collection sites and equipment.
  2. Conduct donor screening, phlebotomy, and monitor donor reactions.
  3. Perform automation procedures and rebook donors.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and handle inquiries.
  6. Assist with unit packaging and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year of related experience (preferred 1-3 years).
  • Knowledge of work routines, safety, and basic math.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency with specified applications.
  • Driver's License and Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
