Job summary

Global Roles is seeking a Donor Center Phlebotomist to assist at fixed site locations with every step of the blood collection process. You will help create a welcoming environment for donors, follow safety procedures, and communicate the impact of their donation.

The role requires one year of customer service and an associate degree or equivalent experience. Shifts are 4 x 10 hours, including weekends, with advance schedule notice; work across multiple donor centers in the DC/VA/MD area.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.

• Take time to personally connect with donors and help them understand the impact of their donation.
• Be detail oriented to ensure blood collected meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
• Work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work shifts of 4 X 10 hour shifts with weekends required, schedule provided two to three weeks in advance.
• Work between Donor Centers in Washington, DC; Woodbridge, VA; Manassas, VA; Lanham, MD; Fairfax, VA.
