Job summary

True North Goodwill in Duluth, MN is seeking a Donation Acquisition Manager to drive new donated goods through proactive outreach, partnerships, and community engagement, directly supporting retail revenue growth by increasing donor counts and improving donation flow.

This full-time role requires strong communication, independence, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, field-based environment; local travel is required with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach, retail operations, nonprofit, or business development preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a donation acquisition strategy aligned with revenue goals.
• Coordinate community donation drives (schools, employers, housing, events).
• Train employees on donation process (donation door, events, etc.).
• Manage trailer-based donation events and offsite collection efforts.
• Identify and build partnerships with organizations to generate ongoing donation streams.
• Track and report donor metrics, event performance, and cost per donor.
• Collaborate with Retail, Transportation, and Marketing teams to support execution.
• Oversee placement and productivity of donation bins and outreach channels.
• Maintain all event materials, signage, and supplies.
