Job summary

Blue Ridge Care in Front Royal, VA is seeking a Central Sorting Associate to support donation processing and thrift shop operations. You will sort, tag, and prepare donated items for distribution, collaborating with staff and volunteers to maintain a safe, organized workspace.

This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and physical tasks such as lifting totes. You will help track supplies, support warehouse transfers, and assist with clothing donations as needed.

Qualifications

• Sorting and tagging donations according to Blue Ridge Care procedures
• Ability to lift totes and perform physical tasks
• Experience assisting with donation room operations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and tag donations as per procedures
• Process items designated for transfer to warehouse or thrift shop locations
• Maintain orderly storage of items in the donation room
• Assist in thrift shop locations with sorting and tagging clothing donations
• Maintain a clean, safe donation room and surrounding areas
• Track and maintain supply needs for the donation room and warehouse
• Assist the warehouse team with loading and unloading truck deliveries
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to complete tasks
• Support payroll data entry in Paycom with accuracy and timeliness
• Support BRCC's mission, values and philosophy in all interactions
• Participate in regular supervisor meetings to review operations
