Job summary

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a Driver to operate a box truck, collecting donated items and loading them safely for transport to the warehouse or designated locations.

You will provide excellent donor service, maintain donation records, and follow routing plans to maximize efficiency while upholding safety standards. The role requires physical capability and reliability in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (pass MVR check).
• Proven ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws for large vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to a schedule.
• Proficiency in maneuvering the truck in tight spaces.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate route changes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck following all traffic rules and regulations.
• Follow designated pickup routes efficiently to maximize donations and minimize travel time.
• Communicate with donors courteously and professionally while coordinating pickups.
• Load and unload donated items into and out of the pickup vehicle safely.
• Record donation details accurately including item descriptions and donor information.
• Maintain a clean and organized pickup vehicle and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization positively.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay current on procedures.
