Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF THE VALLEY WORKS INC is seeking a Truck Driver – Box Truck (not CDL) Collections to safely operate company vehicles and collect and deliver donations. You will coordinate with the logistics team to optimize routes and maintain service standards.

Responsibilities include load/unload, pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and guiding along a helper; adherence to DOT regulations and safety policies is essential to support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to collect and deliver donations from designated locations, adhering to routes and schedules to meet daily goals.
• Load, secure, and unload donations, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transport.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to plan and optimize truck routes and reduce costs.
• Notify supervisor of shortages or issues encountered during routes.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs for daily operations, mileage, fuel, donations, and incidents.
• Guide the truck helper's activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies; report accidents or violations immediately.
• Follow safety standards, wear seat belts, and practice defensive driving.
• Interact professionally with donors and provide courteous service.
• Attend training and company events; perform other duties as assigned by management.
