Job summary

CommunityAid is hiring Donation Associates to manage donations with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety. Staff will greet donors, sort donations by department, and keep the donation area organized while using tablets to track movement.

Level 1–3 roles include learning manual and then heavier machinery, with a clear pay ladder and a $0.50 raise after 90 days. The job supports a fast-paced environment and requires teamwork, reliability, and strong attendance.

• Ability to review donated goods for quality and follow guidelines.
• Commitment to safety and following PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide a positive donation experience during busy times.
• Review donated goods for quality and sort into sellable vs unsellable.
• Track donations using an electronic tablet.
• Sort donations quickly by department to prevent bottlenecks.
• Keep donation area clean and organized for safety.
• Assist with production tasks such as pricing furniture and clothing production dumping.
• Follow safety equipment procedures and basic safety rules.
