Job summary

The Salvation Army El Cajon Corps on E Main Street is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to handle donations, inventory, and client contact. You will receive, sort, store, and track goods while supporting food distributions and family services programs.

This full-time position requires a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and a customer-focused approach. You will work as part of a team to serve neighbors in need with dignity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain records and protect confidentiality.
• Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, sort, weigh, and store donated items.
• Maintain organized warehouse and pantry, stock shelves, rotate inventory.
• Track donations, distributions, and stock levels for program operations.
• Document donation weights, values, and inventory activity.
• Prepare items for regular and special distributions for food pantry operations.
• Participate in weekly food distributions and holiday assistance programs.
• Enter client and service data into Salvation Army software systems (WellSky).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and logs if operating Salvation Army vehicles.
• Support Family Services operations with administrative duties.
